Done

  • Added basic effects for player an enemy damage to help with feedback and immersion
  • Synchronized events to rhythm and beat of the music
  • Implemented movement of enemies to keep dodging dynamic
  • Implemeted controller and keyboard support
  • Created art for title screen
  • Added combos and adjusted rhythms to match this new mechanic

New Decisions

Based on feedback from TA playtesting session and further discussion we have decided to:

  • Add a bossfight at the end of a level to make end of level clear and break monotony
  • Add more obstacles and features to the environment to make it more organic and less hypnotic
  • Add a tutorial to make gameplay clear
  • Change some assets to make arrows easier to see/read
  • Update assets for environment to make arteries more visually appealing
  • Randomize enemy spawning to make gameplay longer

Todo

Based on discussion and feedback from TA:

  • Add tutorial
  • Finish E2E flow (inculding start/pause/restart screen)
  • Randomize enemy spawning
  • Create art assets for items discussed above, and the emotion meter (health bar)
